The Ballito Dolphins Juniors Rugby program is where passion for the game begins. We’re dedicated to creating a fun, supportive, and developmental environment for young players of all skill levels, from Under 5 to Under 18.
About the Dolphins Juniors
Here at the Dolphins Juniors Team, we believe in fostering a love for rugby while teaching essential life skills like teamwork, discipline, and respect. Our experienced coaches are passionate about helping each child reach their full potential, both on and off the field.
Whether your child is just discovering the sport or has dreams of playing for the Springboks, the Dolphins Juniors program is the perfect place to grow, learn, and make lifelong friends.

Membership & Kit
All new and existing members need to complete the Dolphins Membership Form.

Download and Complete the BokSmart Questionnaire.
2.
Completing the online registration and upload a copy of your child’s ID or Birth Certificate, a recent photo, Completed BokSmart Questionnaire and proof of payment at the end of the online registration
3.
If you’ve already completed the online registration but still need to submit these documents, please email them to juniors@ballitodolphinsrugby.co.za.

Weekly Practice
Practice details are shared directly with parents and players through our dedicated WhatsApp groups.
Regular practice sessions are held every Friday afternoon from 17:30 to 19:00 at Umhlali Prep.
Keep an eye on your age group’s WhatsApp group for any updates regarding practice schedules, field locations, or cancellations.

Matchday Teams
- Teams and start times will be communicated via the WhatsApp groups on the Friday prior to the Sunday’s game. Once published parents must confirm via the WhatsApp groups if player(s) will be playing on Sunday.
- All players must meet their coaches at the matchday venue 1 hour prior to the start of their 1st game.
- Players that have not completed the Online Registration, Submitted Photo’s, Birth Certificate/ID/Passport and Completed BokSmart forms will not be eligible for selection to play on matchday.
Matchday Dress Code & Attire
- Dolphins Jerseys and Shorts to be worn for games.
- Gum Guards for all ages are compulsory and players will not be allowed to play without Gum Guards. Mr Price Sports or Sportsman’s Warehouse stocks a variety of Gum Guards for all ages.
- Scrum caps/head gear are allowed. Mr Price Sports or Sportsman’s Warehouse stocks a variety of Scrum caps/head gear for all ages.
- Age groups U5 to U12 will play without Rugby Boots
- Age groups U13 to U18 will play with Rugby Boots
- All parents to supply water bottles for their children prior, during and after the match.
General
→ The hosting venue will supply food and beverage stalls.
→ Bring your own camping chairs, gazebos, umbrellas, and sunscreen.
→ No parents are allowed on the playing field. The Referee, Coach and Medical Staff will handle all injuries.
→ Please note NO COOLER BOXES are allowed at matchday venues.
