Adopt a Dolphin
“Adopt a Dolphin” is an initiative to ensure the Dolphins give the best care to our players, affording them to play rugby, free of fear of injury and without the burden of financial pressure.
A player incurs the following typical expenses just to play.
- Transport costs both for practice and matches (Easily R1000 a month in season. Bearing in mind our furthest away game is Kokstad)
- Club subscriptions of R850 per annum
- Medical Aid (We have a fully comprehensive accident policy for R330/month)
- Strapping for matches (R100 per game)
- A pair of boots these days can cost R3500
This is a deal between you the sponsor and the player directly. The club is however more than happy to facilitate a contract between you and the player. The amount is negotiated between you and the player. But the player is obliged to be a fully paid up member of the Ballito Dolphins Rugby Club and have medical aid in order to play. (And this might be the extent of your sponsorship)
If you don’t have a specific player in mind, click here where you can choose any one of our players and email us on chairman@ballitodolphinsrugby.co.za with the player name and the amount you would like to commit. A contract will be sent to you with details of your chosen player, monthly stipend and duration.
